Public Power Week 2012 is Oct. 8-12, and Wake Forest Power is celebrating again this year by offering its residential electric customers the chance to win free electricity in October in the “Public Power Week Word Search Contest.”

Wake Forest Power customers who wish to enter can pick up a word search puzzle at the Wake Forest Town Hall, 301 S. Brooks St., or download a copy at www.wakeforestnc.gov/publicpowerweek_wordsearch.aspx.

To play, read the essay entitled “Wake Forest – A Proud Public Power Community” and pay special attention to the highlighted words throughout the narrative. Find and circle all the highlighted words in the puzzle, fill out the registration form, and return both the puzzle and the registration form.

Completed registration forms and word search puzzles may be mailed or delivered to the Wake Forest Town Hall, 301 S. Brooks St., Wake Forest, NC 27587 or faxed to 919-435-9489. Completed forms and puzzles must be received no later than 4 p.m., Friday, Oct. 19.

On Monday, Oct. 22, Town Manager Mark Williams will draw the names of three winners from the pool of eligible entries. Winning contestants will be notified no later than Wednesday, Oct. 24.

Only current Wake Forest Power residential electric customers are eligible to participate in the contest and only one submission per customer will be accepted. Town of Wake Forest employees are not eligible.
