Collection Assistance Program

The Town of Wake Forest Collection Assistance Program (CAP) provides backyard pickup of trash and recycling for residents who are physically unable to wheel their carts to the curb and have no one living with them who can do it.

CAP Program Overview

Residents served by the program meet one of the following requirements:

  1. Have a permanent disability, and no able-bodied person residing with them to move containers to the curb; or

  2. Have a temporary disability, and no able-bodied person residing with them to move containers to the curb.
     

How do I apply? 

Residents needing collection assistance, should submit an application to the Town for review. Part A should list the preferred pickup location and Part B should be filled out by your doctors office. Part B can be submitted after the collection assistance begins if the Town is made aware of the need. 

Please note: Part B of the application must be completed by a physician or physician’s assistant. 

Completed applications may be submitted online; mailed or delivered to Collection Assistance Program, Public Works Department, 234 Friendship Chapel Road, Wake Forest NC 27587; or emailed to Public Works.
