Traffic Enforcement Unit

The Wake Forest Police Department's Traffic Enforcement Unit is comprised of two teams of officers that have received specialized training in vehicle collision investigations, driving while impaired and traffic enforcement. The General Traffic Team focuses on high collision areas in Town, speed enforcement, citizen complaints and all other motor vehicle violations. The DWI Traffic Team focuses on aggressive enforcement of impaired drivers in Town. Both teams utilize their specialized training and other aspects of police work to ensure our local streets and neighborhoods are safe.
