Firing Range
The Wake Forest Police Department operates it's own firing range. Located behind the Flaherty Park Community Center, 1226 N. White St., the firing range is surrounded by a security fence that is locked at all times, unless in use by police department personnel. The firing range is NOT open to the public.
The range is utilized by the department for required yearly qualifications on all weapons used by officers. The department's Tactical Service Unit also uses the range for a variety of tactical training sessions. Several in-service training schools such as Close Quarters Pistol and Officer Survival classes are also scheduled at the firing range.
