Community Outreach
The Town of Wake Forest has developed several programs to help educate citizens interested in learning about their local environment, streams, water quality, and their ecological address. Programs include:
Stream Education 101
Buffer Replanting
- Soil & Erosion 101
Backyard Rain Gardens
Backyard Wetlands
Good Housekeeping Practices (leaf litter, yard waste, oil, grease, paint and fertilizer application).
Town staff is available during the work week to offer instruction to groups and local schools.
