Utility Billing & Rates
The Town of Wake Forest owns its electric distribution system and provides garbage and bulk waste pickup services to residents, businesses and industries in Wake Forest. Locally-owned and operated, these public utilities provide safe and reliable service at a reasonable price. Our employees are the neighbors of the people we serve, and they stand ready to help customers with problems or questions.
Rates and policies are set by the Town of Wake Forest Board of Commissioners. Utilities revenues maintain our utility systems and help our community.
Residential Electric Rate
Base Rate = $25.00, plus $.13580 per kWh
New Accounts Set Up Fee
$15.45 (charged on first bill). Deposits for new service may be required (up to $200).

Direct Draft for Utility Bills
If you wish to have your utility bill drafted from your bank account, complete the Bank Draft Authorization Form (PDF) and return it to 301 S. Brooks St., Wake Forest, NC 27587. Your utility bill will be drafted automatically on the due date.

Our business office is located on the first floor of Town Hall, 301 S. Brooks Street. Business Hours are from 8 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday-Friday (closed holidays).
