Gas leak closes portion of Rogers Road
UPDATE - The gas leak along Wild Meadow Lane has been sealed and Rogers Road has reopened.

UPDATE - Townhomes in the immediate vicinity of the ruptured gas line have been evacuated.
The following information was distributed today at 1:44 p.m.
Emergency personnel are on the scene of a ruptured gas line along the 3800 block of Wild Meadow Lane. The gas line was ruptured by construction crews working in the area.
Due to the ruptured gas line, traffic is blocked along Rogers Road from Rogers Branch Road to Marshall Farm Street. Motorists are urged to avoid the area and choose an alternate route.
No evacuations have been ordered, but area residents have been advised to shelter in place.
Dominion Energy crews are working to seal off the leak, but there is no timetable on when the road will reopen.
