Gas leak closes Rogers Road near Heritage Center Drive

Emergency personnel are on the scene of a ruptured gas line along the 2800 block of Rogers Road near Heritage Center Drive. The gas line was ruptured by a construction crew working in the area.
Due to the ruptured gas line, traffic is blocked along both directions of Rogers Road. Motorists are urged to avoid the area and choose an alternate route.
One business in the area has been evacuated. No other evacuations are expected.
Dominion Energy crews are working to seal off the leak, but there is no timetable on when the road will reopen.
