Traffic Alert – Burlington Mills Road/Ligon Mill Road intersection

Gaines and Company, Inc., a contractor working on the future Kitchin Farms subdivision, will continue intermittent lane closures at the intersection of Burlington Mills Road and Ligon Mill Road weekdays from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. through Friday, Aug. 19. The lane closures are necessary to allow crews to install the final lift of surface asphalt and thermoplastic markings, then stabilize the shoulders and ditches. The work was originally scheduled to be complete in July but has been delayed due to inclement weather.

Signage and flaggers will be in place to manage traffic flow and safely direct motorists through the work area. Delays are expected, so drivers are encouraged to take an alternate route if possible. For more information, email Jim Stafford at [email protected].
