You still have time to register for tonight’s Wayfinding Plan Visioning Workshop

Tuesday, August 30, 2022 - 10:02am

The Town of Wake Forest has started the process of developing a comprehensive wayfinding plan, and we want your input. This evening (Tuesday, Aug. 30) at 6 p.m., the Town will host a virtual visioning workshop that will give residents, business owners, and stakeholders the chance to share their thoughts and opinions on Wake Forest’s wayfinding system, which will help people find their way around town and encourage visitors to discover local attractions and community assets.

Anyone wishing to participate should register at https://engagewakeforest.org/wayfinding-plan. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the virtual workshop.

Wake Forest has hired MERJE (West Chester, PA) to develop its wayfinding plan. MERJE is a nationally recognized design firm with specific expertise in Community Wayfinding. The company has worked with more than 90 communities of all sizes and aspirations in the development of similar regional programs, including Asheville, Durham, Cary, and Greenville – to name a few.

Tonight’s session will include a brief presentation, followed by a question-and-answer session where participants will have the opportunity to submit questions and share suggestions. Town staff and representatives from MERJE will be on hand to respond to inquiries and gather public input.
