On Friday, July 15, from 8 a.m.-noon, the Town of Wake Forest will close the southern portion of the South Franklin Street/Elm Avenue roundabout. The temporary closure is necessary to allow tree crews to remove two elm trees that were damaged during last week’s storms.

The portion of Wait Avenue/NC 98 from Shenandoah Farm Road to Mackie Park Drive has been reduced to one lane with alternating two-way traffic.

The lane reduction is due to erosion under one lane caused by flooding from last night’s heavy rains.
