Police investigating shooting along South Franklin Street

Just before 3 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 30, Wake Forest Police responded to a reported shooting along the 300 block of South Franklin Street.

Upon their arrival, officers located one person suffering from a gunshot wound. The individual was transported to a local hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

This appears to be an isolated incident, and there is no danger to the public.
