Traffic Alert – South Franklin Street

On Wednesday, Aug. 23, from 9 a.m.-noon, the Town of Wake Forest will close the portion of South Franklin Street from East Jones Avenue to Elm Avenue. The temporary closure is necessary to allow tree crews to remove an elm tree damaged during a recent storm.

A signed detour will be in place directing traffic around the work area. Delays are expected, so motorists are encouraged to avoid the area and use an alternate route.
