Tuesday is the deadline to apply to Historic Preservation Commission, Public Art Commission & PRCR Advisory Board
You have until Tuesday, Feb. 28, to apply for lone vacancies on the Historic Preservation Commission (HPC), Public Art Commission (PAC), and Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources (PRCR) Advisory Board. Residents of Wake Forest and its extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ) are eligible to apply for the PAC and PRCR Advisory Board, but only Wake Forest residents are eligible for the HPC.
The online application is available at http://bit.ly/TOWFAdvBoardApplication. Anyone without computer access is invited to complete the application by using a computer kiosk in the lobby of Town Hall, 301 S. Brooks St.
HPC candidates are invited to attend the HPC meeting on Wednesday, March 9, at 6:30 p.m., while PAC candidates are invited to attend the PAC meeting on Thursday, March 23, at 7:30 p.m. PRCR Advisory Board candidates are invited to attend the PRCR Advisory Board meeting on Monday, March 27, at 6:30 p.m.
During each meeting, candidates will be given the opportunity to introduce themselves and explain why they wish to serve. Following their respective interviews, each advisory board will review its slate of candidates before submitting its recommendation to the Board of Commissioners.
