Traffic Alert – South Main Street/US 1A

Raleigh Water has reduced to one lane with intermittent two-way traffic a portion of the 300 block of South Main Street/US 1A (between West Owen Avenue and Elm Avenue). The lane closure is necessary to allow crews to replace a water service at 314 South Main St./US 1A. Water and sewer service in the area will not be affected.

Signs and flaggers are in place to safely direct traffic through the work area. Delays are expected, so motorists may wish to avoid the area and use an alternate route.
