Expect delays in vicinity of Heritage Lake Road tonight & tomorrow night

Work on a Heritage Lake Road resurfacing project will continue to require overnight lane closures tonight and tomorrow night (September 22-23). ST Wooten, a private contractor working on behalf of NCDOT, will reduce to one lane with intermittent two-way traffic portions of Heritage Lake Road from Rogers Road to Dr. Calvin Jones Highway/NC 98 Bypass each evening from 7 p.m.-6 a.m.

Signage and flaggers will be in place to safely direct motorists through the work area. The work will cause significant delays, particularly in the vicinity of the Heritage Lake Road/Rogers Road intersection. Drivers are strongly encouraged to avoid the area if possible and take an alternate route.

The contractor is starting work at 7 p.m. each evening to reduce the impact on travelers and make the work safer for crews.
