Tuesday, August 30, 2022 - 10:42am

The Town of Wake Forest is in the process of updating the 2012 Historic Preservation Plan. The draft of the updated plan is now ready for review and comment. After reviewing the plan, residents, business owners, and community stakeholders are invited to offer their input via one of the following methods:

  1. Visit Engage Wake Forest at https://engagewakeforest.org/wake-forest-historic-preservation-plan-update and share comments in the Guestbook provided at the bottom of the page.

  2. Sign-up to comment at the Planning Board Meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 13, at 6 p.m.

  3. Attend and provide comment at the Historic Preservation Commission meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 14, at 6:30 p.m.

  4. Email your comments to Senior Planner - Historic Preservation Michelle Michael at [email protected].

Community input is the cornerstone of the Historic Preservation Plan Update. The result will establish a community vision for historic preservation and provide supporting goals, policy, and implementation strategies.

The Historic Preservation Plan Update has been financed in part with federal funds from the National Park Service, U.S. Department of the Interior. However, the contents and opinions do not necessarily reflect views or policies of the U.S. Department of the Interior, nor does the mention of trade names, commercial products, or organizations constitute endorsement or recommendation by the Department of the Interior.
