Flaherty Dog Park closed for cleaning & maintenance Thursday

Weather permitting, Flaherty Dog Park, 1100 N. White St., will be closed for cleaning and maintenance Thursday, Dec. 14, from 7 a.m.-2 p.m. The temporary closure is necessary to allow crews to repair fencing and pressure wash areas throughout the park in need of attention. 

Signage will be posted to notify the public of the closure.

The Town of Wake Forest opened Flaherty Dog Park in June 2007. The three-acre park features a paved entrance and two exercise areas. Each of the fenced areas – one for small dogs and one for larger dogs – includes grass cover, picnic tables, shade trees, waste stations and a water fountain for both dogs and people.
