UFB & PRCR Advisory Board seek to fill vacancies, application deadline extended
You can make a difference in our community by applying to fill one of two vacancies on the Urban Forestry Board (UFB) and one of three vacancies on the Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources (PRCR) Advisory Board. Residents of Wake Forest and its extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ) are eligible to apply.
The online application for both boards is available through Monday, June 20, at http://bit.ly/TOWFAdvBoardApplication. Anyone without computer access is invited to complete the application by using a computer kiosk in the lobby of Town Hall, 301 S. Anyone with expertise or a special interest in recreation and/or greenways is especially encouraged to apply for the PRCR Advisory Board. Candidates will be expected to attend the Monday, June 27, PRCR Advisory Board meeting to introduce themselves and explain why they wish to serve. Following the interviews, the PRCR Advisory Board will review its slate of candidates before submitting its recommendations to the BOC.
UFB candidates will be expected to attend the Tuesday, June 28, UFB meeting to introduce themselves and explain why they wish to serve. Following the interviews, the UFB will review its slate of candidates before submitting its recommendations.
