If you’re looking for a “hauntingly” good time this fall, then don’t miss the 5th year of the “Spirits of Wake Forest” ghost walk in historic downtown Wake Forest. These tours are presented by Wake Forest Downtown (WFD), Inc., in partnership with Firebox Theatre Company (FTC).

Downtown Wake Forest’s buildings and sidewalks have seen well over 100 years of history, and they have some eerie stories to tell! Join WFD, Inc. and FTC's incredible cast of storytellers to learn about the restless spirits that make up just a small piece of downtown’s haunted history.

Tour Schedule

Tours will be offered September 26 through October 31 according to the following schedule:

  • Thursdays and Fridays - 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m.

  • Saturdays - 6:30 p.m., 7 p.m., 8 p.m., and 8:30 p.m.

Location

Tours will take place in Historic Downtown Wake Forest’s business district, primarily along South White Street. We will meet outside Wake Forest Town Hall (301 South Brooks Street) and tours will begin promptly at their scheduled time. Please note that tours are within the business district only and will not include the private residences located along North and South Main Streets.

Know Before You Go

  • This year’s tour will feature a number of last year’s favorite stories, along with plenty of new material. 

  • Each tour will last approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. 

  • Tours will take place rain or shine.  If severe weather poses a risk to public safety during your scheduled tour it will be cancelled, and all ticketholders will receive refunds.

  • The maximum number of participants for each tour is 20.

  • Tours are within the business district only and will not include private residences.
  • Tours are recommended for ages 8 and up. Younger children are welcome at their parents' discretion.

  • Any attendees under the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult.
