Overview

The Cardinal Hills and Cardinal Park Drainage Study aims to assess and address persistent flooding issues within these Wake Forest neighborhoods. Reports from residents indicate that existing topographic characteristics and the absence of a formal storm drainage system (e.g., curb and gutter) contribute to stormwater conveyance challenges.

The study will analyze overall drainage patterns, identify key collection points, and focus on four specific areas of concern highlighted by the Town of Wake Forest. The scope includes conducting a high-level engineering assessment, evaluating green stormwater infrastructure (GSI) feasibility, and recommending mitigation strategies. Findings will be compiled in a Preliminary Engineering Report with conceptual figures and preliminary cost estimates to guide future improvements.
