Flaherty Dog Park closed for maintenance through Friday
Flaherty Dog Park, 1100 N. White St., is closed for maintenance through Friday, March 29. The temporary closure is necessary to allow crews to repair the sidewalk and upgrade pedestrian access to comply with ADA standards.
Signage is posted at the dog park to notify the public of the closure.
Weather permitting, the facility will reopen Friday, March 29, at 3:30 p.m.
Flaherty Dog Park is also scheduled for closure the week of April 8, so crews can address mulch issues. For more information, email PRCR Maintenance Manager Randy Hoyle at [email protected].
The Town of Wake Forest opened Flaherty Dog Park in June 2007. The three-acre park features a paved entrance and two exercise areas. Each of the fenced areas – one for small dogs and one for larger dogs – includes grass cover, picnic tables, shade trees, waste stations and a water fountain for both dogs and people.
