Property owner set to drain pond along Forestville Road

The owner of land situated across from Heritage High School, 1150 Forestville Road, between Woodstaff Avenue and Rogers Branch Road, is scheduled to begin draining a pond on that property today (Friday, Oct. 20).

While the pond is being emptied, residents will likely notice water flowing into nearby ditches but should not be alarmed.

Draining the pond is part of the process of decommissioning the “high hazard” dam.
