Sidewalk repairs scheduled week of January 23 along South Franklin Street, Sugar Maple Avenue & Silver Linden Lane

Beginning Monday, Jan. 23, Town crews will remove and replace sections of sidewalk along the following streets daily from 7 a.m.-3 p.m.:

  • Sugar Maple Avenue from Silver Linden Lane to South White Street

  • Silver Linden Lane from Sugar Maple to Yellow Poplar Avenue

  • Northbound South Franklin Street from Dr. Calvin Jones Highway/NC 98 Bypass to the East Holding Avenue roundabout.

During the week of January 23, residents are urged not to park along the identified portions of Sugar Maple, Silver Linden, and South Franklin.  

Signage and cones will be in place to manage traffic flow and safely direct motorists through the work areas. For the safety of workers, crews will initiate a lane shift along the affected portion of South Franklin.
