PRCR Advisory Board seeks to fill vacancy
You can make a difference in our community by applying to fill a vacancy on the Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources (PRCR) Advisory Board. Residents of Wake Forest and its extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ) are eligible to apply.
The online application is available through Tuesday, Feb. 28, at http://bit.ly/TOWFAdvBoardApplication. Anyone without computer access is invited to complete the application by using a computer kiosk in the lobby of Town Hall, 301 S. Anyone with expertise or a special interest in recreation and/or greenways is especially encouraged to apply for the PRCR Advisory Board.
Candidates will be expected to attend the PRCR Advisory Board meeting on Monday, March 27, to introduce themselves and explain why they wish to serve. Following the interviews, the PRCR Advisory Board will review its slate of candidates before submitting its recommendations to the Board of Commissioners (BOC).
The selected applicant will volunteer for a three-year term and advise the BOC on a variety of topics related to parks, recreation, and cultural resources. For more information, contact Ella Dowtin at [email protected] or 919-435-9436.
