Public Art Ribbon Cutting

The Wake Forest Public Art Commission will officially unveil Wake Forest's first two pieces of town-funded public art during a special ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, June 14. The commemoration will begin at 6 p.m. in downtown Wake Forest's Jones Plaza, located at the intersection of South White Street and East Jones Avenue.

Designed by nationally renowned artist Robert Tully, the two sculptural seating pieces are scheduled to be installed in May.

The ceremony will include brief remarks by Mayor Vivian Jones and PAC Chair John Pelosi.

A reception and the Foundations-Renaissance Art Exhibit will follow immediatelyin the ground floor meeting room of theWake Forest Town Hall, 301 S. Brooks St., until 8 p.m.

This event is open to the public and will be held in conjunction with June's "Art After Hours."
