2022 Independence Day Holiday Schedule
The Wake Forest Town Hall and other administrative offices will be closed Monday, July 4, in observance of the Independence Day holiday. Curbside trash, recycling, and yard waste collection will be suspended July 4, along with Wake Forest Bus Service.
During the week of July 4, trash and recycling will be collected one day later than normal and extend into Saturday. So, for example, Monday’s route will be collected Tuesday and Friday’s route will be collected Saturday.
Yard waste collection will resume Tuesday, July 5, at 7 a.m. Crews will follow the normal collection schedule beginning with Monday’s route. Collection of the Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday routes will occur throughout the remainder of the week until all routes have been completed.
To ensure that all neighborhoods are serviced properly, please leave your normal yard waste at the curb by 7 a.m. on July 5. As always, please avoid placing items on or near mailboxes, utility boxes, utility poles or other fixed objects.
Bulk waste will also be collected one day later than normal during the week of July 4. Bulk collection will begin Wednesday, July 6, and may extend into Thursday, July 7. To schedule a bulk pick-up, complete the online bulk waste pick-up request form at http://bit.ly/WFBulkPickupForm by 2 p.m. Monday, July 4.
Residents without internet service can schedule their pick-up by calling 919-435-9570 by 2 p.m. Monday, July 4. Residents who call after hours may leave a voicemail message. All voicemail requests for bulk pick-up service must include the resident’s name, physical address, and telephone number, along with a description of the bulk waste items to be collected. Any service request that does not include the required information will not be processed.
Wake Forest Bus Service, including the Wake Forest-Raleigh Express and the Wake Forest Loop, will resume its normal schedule on Tuesday, July 5.
