Deadline to apply to Historic Preservation Commission & Public Art extended to February 28

Due to a limited response, the deadline to apply for lone vacancies on the Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) and Public Art Commission (PAC) has been extended to Tuesday, Feb. 28. Residents of Wake Forest and its extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ) are eligible to apply for the PAC, but only Wake Forest residents are eligible for the HPC.

The online advisory board application is available at http://bit.ly/TOWFAdvBoardApplication. Anyone without computer access is invited to complete the application by using a computer kiosk in the lobby of Town Hall, 301 S. Brooks St. Hard copies are available upon request by contacting Deputy Town Clerk Ella Dowtin at [email protected].

HPC candidates are invited to attend the HPC meeting on Wednesday, March 9, at 6:30 p.m. to introduce themselves and explain why they wish to serve. Following the interviews, the HPC will review its slate of candidates before submitting its recommendation to the Board of Commissioners (BOC).

PAC candidates are invited to attend the PAC meeting on Thursday, March 23, at 7:30 p.m. to introduce themselves and explain why they wish to serve. Following the interviews, the PAC will review its slate of candidates before submitting its recommendation to the BOC.
