Flaherty Dog Park closed for maintenance April 8-11
Flaherty Dog Park, 1100 N. White St., will be closed for maintenance Monday-Thursday, April 8-11. The temporary closure is necessary to allow crews to install new mulch, finish sidewalk repairs, and complete pedestrian access upgrades to comply with ADA standards.
Signage will be posted at the dog park to notify the public of the closure.
Weather permitting, the facility will reopen Thursday, April 11, at 3 p.m. For more information, email PRCR Maintenance Manager Randy Hoyle at [email protected].
The Town of Wake Forest opened Flaherty Dog Park in June 2007. The three-acre park features a paved entrance and two exercise areas. Each of the fenced areas – one for small dogs and one for larger dogs – includes grass cover, picnic tables, shade trees, waste stations and a water fountain for both dogs and people.
