Flaherty Dog Park closed for maintenance week of February 26
During the week of February 26, Flaherty Dog Park, 1100 N. White St., will be closed for maintenance. The temporary closure is necessary to allow crews to install new mulch, repair fencing, and pressure wash areas throughout the park in need of attention.
Signage has been posted at the dog park to notify the public of the closure.
The facility is scheduled to reopen Friday, March 1, at 3:30 p.m. For more information, email PRCR Maintenance Manager Randy Hoyle at [email protected].
The Town of Wake Forest opened Flaherty Dog Park in June 2007. The three-acre park features a paved entrance and two exercise areas. Each of the fenced areas – one for small dogs and one for larger dogs – includes grass cover, picnic tables, shade trees, waste stations and a water fountain for both dogs and people.
