Heavy rains cause flooding of children’s pool at Holding Park Aquatic Center, facility operating as scheduled

Heavy rainfall from last night’s weather event caused the erosion control measures in place at Holding Park to fail resulting in the flooding of the children’s pool at Holding Park Aquatic Center, 133 W. Owen Ave.

The erosion control measures were in place as part of the inclusive playground construction underway at the park.

Despite the flooding, HPAC is operating according to the normal scheduled. Only the children’s pool is closed.
