Monday is the deadline to apply for Urban Forestry & Technology Advisory Boards

You can make a difference in our community by applying to fill one of two vacancies on the Urban Forestry Board (UFB) and one vacancy on the Technology Advisory Board (TAB). Residents of Wake Forest and its extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ) are eligible to apply. The application deadline for both boards is Monday, Sept. 19.

The online advisory board application is available at http://bit.ly/TOWFAdvBoardApplication. Anyone without computer access is invited to complete the application by using a computer kiosk in the lobby of Town Hall, 301 S. UFB candidates will be expected to attend the Tuesday, Sept. 27, UFB meeting to introduce themselves and explain why they wish to serve. Following the interviews, the UFB will review its slate of candidates before submitting its recommendations to the Board of Commissioners (BOC).

Anyone with expertise or a special interest in technology is especially encouraged to apply for the TAB. Candidates will be expected to attend the Monday, Sept. 26, TAB meeting to introduce themselves and explain why they wish to serve. Following the interviews, the TAB will review its slate of candidates before submitting its recommendations to the BOC.
