Periodic lane closures scheduled along Dr. Calvin Jones Highway/NC 98 Bypass Friday, Saturday & Monday
Fred Smith Company, a contractor working at Grove 98, will initiate periodic lane reductions along eastbound and westbound Dr. Calvin Jones Highway/NC 98 Bypass in the vicinity of the Ligon Mill Road intersection Friday and Saturday, Aug. 11-12, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. each day. The temporary lane reductions are necessary to allow crews to safely complete lane striping operations along the road and intersection.
Signage, cones, and flaggers will be in place to safely direct motorists through the work area. The lane closures will likely cause delays, so motorists may wish to avoid the area and take an alternate route.
Then, on Monday, Aug. 14, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., crews will reduce to one lane both eastbound and westbound Dr. Calvin Jones Highway/NC 98 Bypass in the vicinity of the Ligon Mill Road intersection. The temporary lane closures are necessary to allow crews to safely complete lane striping operations and activate the traffic signals.
Wake Forest Police will be in place to manage traffic flow and safely direct motorists through the work area. Again, the lane closures will likely cause delays, so motorists may wish to avoid the area and take an alternate route.
