Raleigh Water schedules overnight closure along South Main Street/US 1A

Raleigh Water will close a portion of the 800 block of South Main Street/US 1A (between East Holding Avenue and Dunn Avenue) tonight from 9:30 p.m.-5 a.m. 

A signed detour will be in place directing traffic around the work area. Motorists traveling north along South Main Street/US 1A will detour west onto West Holding Avenue, north on Tyler Run Drive, then east on Durham Road/NC 98 Business. Southbound traffic will detour east on East Holding Avenue, south on South Franklin Street, and west on Dr. Calvin Jones Highway/NC 98 Bypass.

Delays are expected, so motorists may wish to avoid the area and use an alternate route.
