Storyteller Donna Washington to offer free performance Friday at Alston-Massenburg Center
Award-winning storyteller Donna Washington will offer a free performance at the Alston-Massenburg Center, 416 N. Taylor St., Friday, Oct. 21, at 6:30 p.m.
Often described as a "walking Disney movie" and "better than television," Washington is an internationally known, multiple award-winning storyteller, spoken word recording artist, and author. For over 30 years, she has been entertaining, educating, and inspiring audiences with her vocal pyrotechnics, elastic face, and deep characterizations that bring folklore, literary tales, and personal narratives to life.
Families and children of all ages are invited to attend what promises to be a highly animated performance, but seating is limited.
This production is part of the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre’s "Arts For All" free community performance series supported by United Arts Council of Raleigh and Wake County. For more information, contact Renaissance Centre Specialist Debra Horton at 919-435-9566 or [email protected].
