Youth Baseball, Softball & T-Ball registration is underway for in-town residents, begins February 8 for out-of-town residents

Monday, February 3, 2025 - 2:35pm

The Wake Forest Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources (PRCR) Department is accepting online and in-person registrations through February 28 for youth baseball, softball, and T-ball for boys ages 5-17 and girls ages 5-15 according to the following schedule:

  • February 1-7 - Wake Forest residents only

  • February 8-28 - Wake Forest residents & non-Wake Forest residents

  • March 1-8 - Late registration, including a $15 late fee (if league spots are still available).

Online registration is available at https://bit.ly/WFTeamSideline, along with team placement and draft information and league rules. In-person registrations are also accepted at the Joyner Park Community Center, 701 Harris Road.

The fee is $60 for Wake Forest residents and $100 for non-Wake Forest residents. A participant’s eligibility is determined by his or her age on April 30, 2025, and a birth certificate is required for new participants.

Please note: Some age groups will fill before February 28. In such instances, a wait list will be created and available to those who register for an age group that is filled. While a wait list does not guarantee team placement, it provides a way to reserve a spot in our first-in/first-out registration process. Wait list registrants are the first to be contacted, in the event availability does occur.

Practices and games will be played primarily on weeknights and Saturdays from April through late June.

Volunteer coaches are needed. The PRCR Department’s Youth Leagues are designed to teach fair play and sportsmanship, develop fundamental baseball skills, and promote a fun and healthy lifestyle. Anyone interested in sharing these skills with area young people is urged to sign up as a volunteer at https://bit.ly/WFTeamSideline.

Please note that all volunteer coaches must pass a background check. For more information, contact Athletics Specialist Mikkel Patterson at 919-435-9557 or [email protected].
