Halloween Boo Bash is October 26, Halloween trick-or-treating is always October 31
The Wake Forest Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources (PRCR) Department will host its annual Halloween Boo Bash Thursday, Oct. 26, from 4:30-7 p.m. at E. Carroll Joyner Park, 701 Harris Road. Presented by Capital Chevrolet, the Halloween Boo Bash is a free, family-oriented festival for children ages 12 and younger.
This year’s festivities will include a variety of ghostly games and activities, along with free pumpkin giveaways - while supplies last. Costumes are optional, but the best outfits will be featured on the Town’s website and social media pages.
The following food and dessert trucks will also be onsite during this year's Boo Bash: Lumpy's, Crazy Beans Coffee, Crumbstruction, Mamma Churros, GypZea Maize Kettle Corn, and Smith's Smokehouse & Smoothies.
In addition to Capital Chevrolet, the following local businesses have generously contributed to this year’s Halloween Boo Bash: Civic Federal Credit Union, Passanante's Home Food Services, Girls Scouts - NC Coastal Pines, Christi Spencer State Farm, Triangle Family Dentistry, Carolina Orthodontics & Children's Dentistry, Avance Care North Wake Forest, Ting Internet, The Butcher's Market, OrthoNC, Goldfish Swim School, Leafguard, and Birkner Insurance. On a related note, the Town of Wake Forest often receives inquiries concerning when families should go trick-or-treating. Since Halloween is always October 31, that’s the day the Town encourages families to go door-to-door in costumes for candy and fun – regardless of the day of the week on which it falls. The Wake Forest Police Department also recommends that little ghosts and goblins trick-or-treat between the hours of 6 and 8 p.m.
