Town of Wake Forest Communications & Public Affairs Director Bill Crabtree serves as the news media's main point of contact for the Wake Forest Police Department. AMBER Alert
The AMBER Alert is a voluntary cooperative effort between broadcasters and law enforcement to enlist the aid of the public to serve as law enforcement's "eyes and ears" in the case of a stranger abducted child.
Firing Range
The Wake Forest Police Department operates its own firing range. The firing range is located just off North White Street, behind the Flaherty Park Community Center, but is not open to the public. Paying Parking Tickets
Payment of a parking violation may be made by mail or in person at the Wake Forest Town Hall, 301 S. Brooks St., Wake Forest, NC 27587.

Precious Metals Permits
As of Oct. 1, 2009, any person engaging in the business of purchasing precious metals must obtain a precious metals permit. In addition, precious metal dealers licensed prior to Oct. 1, 2009, must comply with the ratified bill beginning Jan. 1, 2010.

Silver Alert
Silver Alert is a system to quickly notify the public about endangered adults that suffer from dementia or other cognitive impairment. Since adults with these mental ailments often become confused and disoriented, it is imperative that they are found quickly and returned to their caregivers.
Urban Archery Application
In an effort to control the ever-increasing number of white tail deer in our area, the Wake Forest Board of Commissioners voted in February 2013 to approve an ordinance regulating bow hunting within the town limits. The ordinance allows for the archery hunting of deer on privately owned, contiguous tracts of land that are at least five acres in size.
Completed urban archery applications must be returned to the Wake Forest Police Department for investigation and review before they will be considered. For questions about form or ordinance contact Sgt. Cashwell at 919-435-9623.
Application for Permit to Sell or Solicit
A Background Check Application must be completed and submitted in compliance with Chapter 10, Article III of the Code of Ordinances of the Town of Wake Forest.
