2024 Lighting of Wake Forest

You're invited to experience the wonder and magic of the holiday season at the 2024 Lighting of Wake Forest on Friday, Dec. 6! This year's event is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. in Centennial Plaza, 301 S. Brooks St.                     Lighting of Wake Forest Map and Schedule of Events

Our ceremony will feature the lighting of the Christmas tree and the arrival of Santa Claus.

Please note: Mayor Vivian Jones is scheduled to light the Town’s Christmas tree in Centennial Plaza at approximately 6:20 p.m.                                          

Be sure to stop and say hello to our sponsors on site! Holding Village will be represented by Lightbridge Academy and Tri-Pointe Homes; Johnson Hyundai of Wake Forest; and the Wake Forest Area Chamber of Commerce.
 
There will be an opportunity to write your letter for Santa provided by Wake Forest Woman’s Club, a sweet treat sale by Polka Dot Treat Shop, and a chocolate sale by Make Room for Dessert LLC. Ornaments will be sold by The Wake Forest Historical Museum and The Makery will also be in attendance.
 
There will be musical performances by local choral groups.
 
Nothing Bundt Cakes of Wake Forest will also be in attendance passing out free samples!
 

Dining Options 


The following food trucks will be in attendance: Not Just a Fry Guy, Arepa Culture NC, NOMAD Beverage Company, and Little Halos. Please also explore the list of Downtown dining options.
 

Parking

Event parking is available at the Northern Wake Senior Center  and along several side streets and public parking lots in Downtown Wake Forest.                                                                     Public Parking for Lighting of Wake Forest

Accessible parking will be available in the Town Hall parking lot directly across from Piedmont Federal.            

PLEASE NOTE: Some parking lots may appear to be public, when in fact they are private. Read all signage in the parking lot to determine what type of lot you are using. Private lots are intended for business patrons only.
