Population Estimates

To better inform the Town’s plans, policies, and decision-making, the Long Range Planning  Division conducts biannual population estimates for Wake Forest.

US Census Bureau

The US Census Bureau is the primary public data source for demographic and socioeconomic data in the United States. This data is used to determine the distribution of Congressional seats to states, distribute more than $675 billion in annual federal funds to local, state and tribal governments, emergency services planning, economic development, and much more. 

 

Title VI Reporting

It is the policy of the Town of Wake Forest to ensure that no person shall, on the ground of race, color, sex, age, national origin, or disability, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program or activity as provided by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1987, and any other related non-discrimination Civil Rights laws and authorities.

To better ensure compliance with Title VI requirements, the Long Range Planning Division collects and reports on relevant data aimed at identifying  population groups that may be affected by Title VI legislation.
